Repost from Dr. Mak’s LinkedIn:https://tinyurl.com/InjectableShortage𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚 $𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐝 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐧?Some might, most wouldn’t, we have been, but we won’t be going forward. If you’ve been on TikTok, turned on TV and seen an ad, or been to your doctor’s office & heard about a new way to supplement weight loss with a once a week injection, you’ve likely heard about Wegovy, Mounjaro & Ozempic. If you work in a pharmacy, most of the calls you’ve received asking about product availability outside of Adderall is to see if you have one of these drugs in stock.Weight loss is amazing and can help you feel better, reduce your blood sugar levels, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events. I don’t have anything against these medications and know they can help many when prescribed by a trusted provider. We have many patients, including family members, who use these medications for type 2 diabetes and/or weight loss and the results are phenomenal. What I do struggle with is the investment we’ve been making in these drugs as a pharmacy pouring in hundreds of thousands of dollars knowing we are going to lose money & be at a higher risk of audit. Here’s a real example (bottom half of image)Ozempic RX sent in for a patient for a 1 month supplyCost of drug to pharmacy from wholesaler (paid at purchase): $935.77Reimbursement from insurance company (1-3 months later): $878.10Patient’s copay: $0.00Gross profit (loss): -$57.67GER/DIR processing fee from insurance company: $19.20Labor/supply/processing cost to fill prescription: $12.00𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬: $𝟖𝟖.𝟖𝟕This is for 1 patient x 1 month. Multiply this by hundreds of patients that call weekly asking if we have the medication in stock.Insurance companies are known to audit high cost drugs (especially if they find an easy way to recoup money). If a drug is prescribed off-label (many of these are FDA approved for type 2 diabetes but patients are using it for weight loss), the insurance company would recoup the full amount back from us for dispensing a drug on their plan off-label (irrespective of what your doctor says). On a recent audit we received, weight loss/type 2 diabetes injectables including this exact RX made up one third of all prescriptions being reviewed. We love our patients and will do anything for them but knowing our patients, they would not feel okay knowing we’d lose money every time we filled their injectables. As a small independent pharmacy, we want to stay open & serve our community and this is one of the ways that we can assure we stay here for the long run.”Blog on our site for more details:www.SkippackPharmacy.com/injectableshortage #Wegovy #Mounjaro #Ozempic

This 𝐓𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 focuses on 𝟕 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐄𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬!All 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐬 affect 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐠𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 so it’s important to know which foods contain 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬. Choose the 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 that 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐬 (whole wheat bread, fruit, and veggies) and be aware of your 𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬..Eating lots of 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐭 can increase your risk of 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞, which in turn increases risk of 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 and 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞. Cutting out 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐬 can help you 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐠𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 as well and help you 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭. Swapping sugary drinks, energy drinks and fruit juices with water, plain milk, or tea and coffee without sugar can be a good start.𝐑𝐞𝐝 and 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐭 like ham, bacon, sausages, beef and lamb are ones you want to 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 as they all have 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 with 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬 and 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫.This can help you get the 𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬, 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐬 and 𝐟𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫 your body needs 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐲 to help keep you 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲.If you want a 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤, choose yogurts, unsalted nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 crisps, chips, biscuits and chocolates, but continue to 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.It’s better to get your 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 by eating a mixture of 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬. This is because some supplements can 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 or make some 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞, like kidney disease.Alcohol is 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, so if you do drink and you’re trying to lose weight, think about 𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤. If you take 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧 or other 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, it’s also not a good idea to 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤 on an 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡. This is because alcohol can make 𝐡𝐲𝐩𝐨𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧.#TipTuesday #Diabetes #HealthyEating #SkippackPharmacy#SkippackCBD
This 𝐓𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 focuses on the times you can 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 you need to 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞!Pharmacists can help you find 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫-𝐭𝐡𝐞-𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 that offer the 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 for the symptoms you’re hoping to treat. They can offer medication that does the 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛 but uses 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬-𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 ingredients. They can also 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 your 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 to 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 prescription medication to a product that’s 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 but 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞.Pharmacists can also 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐬 and 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬. This frees up doctors’ time and keeps you from 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 for a 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 when getting the flu shot every year. Many people will call their doctor’s offices when they have a 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 about a 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, but what often happens is that a 𝐧𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 or 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 will check with a 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐭 to find the answer. You can go 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐭 to find out about medication 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 and 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.Pharmacists are also 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 and 𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐭 at 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 types of illnesses or issues and the over-the-counter medicines that can 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞.Importantly, they can 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 how that medicine will work 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮, especially if you have other health conditions or are taking other medications. Some people struggle to swallow pills, but a 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐭 usually can find a 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 of the 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 or a way to mix it into an 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐬𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐣𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐞.Many pharmacies also 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 ways to 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 that are difficult for children, especially, to stomach.#TipTuesday #Medications #Pharmacies #SkippackPharmacy#SkippackCBD
This 𝐓𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 focuses on 𝟓 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬 for taking 𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬!𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 before taking any 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 is important because they know best how it will 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 and which options are better for 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 compared to others.Since supplements are not 𝐟𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝, claims on the front of the bottle may be 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. Read the 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 on the 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 of the 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 for a more accurate idea of what your supplement 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 before taking it.It is important to know more about the 𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬 in different 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 before taking vitamins, as 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 are often 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐫 and contain more 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 than supplements. It is important to not take more than the 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐞 because taking 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 of a certain 𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 or 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 can result in an 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐞, causing urine issues, irritation, nausea, vomiting, and more.Even though the 𝐅𝐃𝐀 does not approve dietary supplements, there are roles for the agency in 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 them. It is important to 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 the ones they have reported due to the 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 they may cause.#TipTuesday #Vitamins #Supplements #Minerals#SkippackPharmacy #SkippackCBD
This 𝐓𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 focuses on 𝟓 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 people make with 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐚𝐲:There’s a reason why sometimes the 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 say to take a drug in the 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 or at 𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞—𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 can play a big role in the 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 and 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 of a medication.𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝:Medications such as 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 and 𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 that fight inflammation, should be 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝.Otherwise they can 𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐞 the 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 over time, causing 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 and 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠; eating beforehand as directed ensures your stomach is coated and will help 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝:Some 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 and 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐱. Grapefruit is a big one, since it can cause 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡—or 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞—of a drug to 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦, according to the FDA.This can make certain medications 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 and may cause major 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 like kidney failure.𝐌𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬:Many over-the-counter 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐬 or 𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬 react 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐲 with prescription drugs. For example, taking 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐬 with 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬 will result in both becoming 𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, because the body won’t be able to 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐛 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲.It is important to take 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 on the 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 that is recommended because the efficacy of many drugs is dependent on 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 a 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 of it in the 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦.#TipTuesday #Medication #DONOTS #SkippackPharmacy#SkippackCBD

We did not have to ask her but could hear it in her voice that she was not feeling well.We wouldn’t make our own grandmother wait a few days to know what was happening so we didn’t wait in this case either. Although outside of our delivery radius, passing at least 4 CVS’s, we made the drop off.We might not appear as the logo on her insurance card, we might not be the pharmacy her insurance tells her to use, but we are an independent pharmacy, “the little guys,” where patients know they can receive additional care.Thank you, Ms. Wallace for your kind worlds 🫶🏽#PatientTestimonial #IndependentPharmacy #BetterHealthStartsHere
Patient walks in at 2:58pm and came directly from the emergency room at the hospital. We go to fill the antibiotic and get a rejection saying refill too soon, medication filled through mail order.Alright, mail order, the patient will just wait a couple of days to get a medication they need to start today.Scary thought but imagine if the day comes that mail order is the only option your insurance allows. Chains are closing down their stores in numbers (because it’s cheaper to operate from mail them an actual store) and PBMs are starting to push patients more to use mail order. Are you ok waiting a few days to start an urgent med?#BeTheChange #SupportLocal #IndependentPharmacy
