FAQ

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing a notebook, water, and a snack if you’ll be with us for several hours. You’re also welcome to bring any school-required documents, and encouraged to bring a printed “Skippack University Guidebook” found on our Materials page.

What should I wear?

Please dress professionally. Avoid pajamas, sweatpants, or open-toe shoes. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety.

What time should I arrive?

Plan to arrive 5–10 minutes early so we can get you checked in and oriented before your experience begins.

Where should I go when I arrive?

Check in at the main pharmacy counter and let a team member know you are here for a job shadow experience.

Can I use my phone?

Phone use should be limited. You may be allowed to use your phone for learning purposes, but always ask a team member first and never use it around patient information.

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is not provided. If you are staying for several hours, we recommend bringing your own food or snack.

What if I'm running late?

Please call the pharmacy as soon as possible so we are aware and can adjust accordingly.

Can I ask questions?

Absolutely. We encourage you to ask questions throughout your experience—this is how you’ll get the most out of your time here.

Will I be interacting with patients?

Depending on your level and comfort, you may observe or participate in patient interactions under guidance from a pharmacist. You will NOT be asked to counsel patients.

Do I need prior healthcare experience?

Not at all. This experience is designed for students at all stages.
