Eligible patients who do not currently have a prescriber may explore an independent telehealth evaluation through Physician 360.
The healthcare provider independently reviews your information and determines whether treatment is medically appropriate. Completing a consultation does not guarantee that a particular medication will be prescribed.
Erectile Dysfunction Treatment Options
Erectile dysfunction treatment is not one-size-fits-all.
The right treatment depends on factors such as your symptoms, health history, medications, cardiovascular health, previous treatments, preferences, and your healthcare provider’s clinical judgment.
Sildenafil & Tadalafil
Sildenafil and tadalafil belong to a group of medications called PDE-5 inhibitors and are commonly prescribed for erectile dysfunction.
Skippack Pharmacy offers several prescribed oral formulations. Your prescriber should determine the medication, formulation, strength, and directions that are appropriate for you.
PGE, Bimix, Trimix & Quadmix
Intracavernosal injection therapy is another prescription option that may be considered for certain patients with erectile dysfunction.
Skippack Pharmacy offers several prescribed formulations, including:
PGE / Alprostadil — an injectable formulation containing prostaglandin E1.
Bimix — a compounded formulation containing papaverine and phentolamine.
Trimix — a compounded formulation containing papaverine, phentolamine, and prostaglandin E1.
Quadmix — a compounded formulation containing papaverine, phentolamine, prostaglandin E1, and atropine.
The appropriate medication, concentration, dose, and adjustment plan should be determined with your healthcare provider. Do not increase your dose or inject an additional dose without speaking with your prescriber.

Important: Know When to Seek Emergency Care
An Erection Lasting More Than 4 Hours Is a Medical Emergency
A prolonged erection can cause permanent tissue damage and erectile dysfunction if treatment is delayed.
If you have an erection lasting more than four hours, seek emergency medical care immediately.
Do not delay emergency evaluation while attempting repeated at-home treatment.
If your prescriber has given you individualized instructions for managing a prolonged erection before the four-hour mark, follow those instructions and contact your healthcare provider as directed.
Medication Storage
Storage requirements can vary by formulation.
Always follow the storage instructions printed on your prescription label and any information provided with your medication.
Do not assume that instructions for another patient’s PGE, Bimix, Trimix, or Quadmix prescription apply to your medication. If you’re unsure whether your vial should be refrigerated, frozen, discarded, or replaced, contact our pharmacy team before using it.

How much do these medications cost?
Compounded Men’s Health medications are not currently covered by insurance, and are only available at an OUT OF POCKET COST. You can use your HSA or FSA card if you would like. Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Men’s Health prescription medications require a valid prescription from an appropriately licensed healthcare provider.
What if I don't have a prescriber?
You may speak with your regular healthcare provider or explore the independent Physician 360 telehealth option listed on this page.

What's the difference between oral and injectable ED medication?
Oral medications such as sildenafil and tadalafil are one type of prescription treatment for erectile dysfunction.
Intracavernosal medications such as PGE, Bimix, Trimix, and Quadmix are injected directly into penile tissue and require specific administration training and individualized dosing.
Neither category is automatically the “best” option for every patient. Your healthcare provider should help determine the appropriate approach based on your health history, medications, previous treatment experience, preferences, and potential risks.
Can I take sildenafil or tadalafil if I use nitrates?
Sildenafil and tadalafil should not be used with nitrate medications because the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
Make sure your prescriber and pharmacist know all prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and supplements you use before starting ED treatment
What should I do if an erection lasts too long?
An erection lasting more than four hours requires emergency medical evaluation.
Seek emergency medical care immediately rather than waiting for it to resolve on its own.
Can I adjust my Trimix, Quadmix, Bimix, or PGE dose myself?
Do not increase your prescribed dose, give yourself an additional dose, or change your dosing plan without discussing it with your prescriber.

How should I store my injectable medication?

How long is my vial good after I first puncture it?
Use the beyond-use and after-opening instructions provided with your specific prescription.
Do not rely on a general timeframe from another medication or previous prescription because formulations and labeling can differ.
Can the pharmacy administer my ED injection for me?
Skippack Pharmacy does not administer intracavernosal ED injections in the pharmacy.
We do provide educational resources to help you understand your prescription. Your prescribing healthcare provider should provide individualized clinical instruction when needed, particularly when you are first starting injectable therapy.
Can my prescription be shipped?
Eligible Men’s Health prescriptions may be picked up at Skippack Pharmacy or discreetly shipped when available.

Are these medications covered by insurance?
The compounded medications offered through this program are currently handled as cash-pay prescriptions and are not submitted to insurance through this program.
Can I use an HSA or FSA?
Prescription healthcare expenses may qualify for HSA or FSA reimbursement depending on your plan and the expense. Check with your individual plan administrator if you’re unsure whether your purchase is eligible.
Can you transfer my prescription from another pharmacy?
In many situations, our team may be able to assist with an eligible prescription transfer. Certain prescriptions or circumstances may require a new prescription directly from your provider.

How long does my order take?
Once we have the required prescription information and completed payment, our team works to prepare your order as quickly and accurately as possible.
You will receive a notification when your prescription is ready for pickup or when tracking information is available for eligible shipped orders.
How do I refill my medication?
Existing patients should use the current Men’s Health Payment Form when they are ready for another fill.
If refills remain on your prescription, our team can process the next eligible fill. If additional authorization is required, your healthcare provider will need to send a new prescription.
