Is there a fee to the employer?
A separate employer fee is not automatically required. Skippack Pharmacy bills each participant’s insurance whenever possible. A small-clinic service fee may be discussed if fewer than 10 people participate. Employers may also choose to sponsor vaccines that are not covered by insurance. Any potential cost will be reviewed before the clinic is confirmed.
How many participants are required?
Mobile clinics generally require at least 10 anticipated participants. Employers with 25 or more employees are especially well suited for a workplace clinic, but the requirement is based on expected participation—not the organization’s total workforce. If your group is smaller, contact us to discuss possible options.
Which workplaces can request a clinic?
Businesses and employers of all types may request a clinic, including offices, manufacturers, warehouses, distribution centers, healthcare organizations, casinos, hotels, restaurants, retailers, construction companies, childcare centers, nonprofits, and municipal employers. Clinic availability depends on location, expected participation, scheduling, staffing, and vaccine availability.
Where does Skippack Pharmacy travel?
We primarily serve workplaces throughout Montgomery County. For larger employers—generally those with more than 100 employees—we may travel to locations within approximately one hour of Skippack Pharmacy. Each request is reviewed based on expected participation, distance, staffing, and scheduling availability.
How much advance notice is recommended?
We recommend requesting your clinic at least three to four weeks in advance whenever possible. Employers planning a clinic during the busy fall flu season, at multiple locations, or across several shifts should contact us as early as possible. Requests with shorter notice may be accommodated depending on staffing and vaccine availability.
Can you accommodate multiple shifts or locations?
Yes. Depending on anticipated participation and staffing availability, we may offer staggered clinic times, multiple immunizers, return visits, or separate clinic dates for different shifts or locations. Please include all shift and location information when submitting your request.
How do employees register?
Skippack Pharmacy provides a secure online registration and consent link for the employer to share with employees. Each participant enters their own contact, health, consent, and insurance information directly. Advance registration is strongly recommended so we can review eligibility, prepare the appropriate vaccines, and address insurance issues before the clinic.
Does HR need to collect employee health information?
No. HR should not collect or send employees’ medical or insurance information to Skippack Pharmacy. Each participant submits that information directly through our secure registration form. HR’s role is simply to share the registration link and help coordinate workplace logistics. Individual health information is not shared with the employer unless the participant authorizes it or disclosure is otherwise permitted by law.
Can family members or walk-ins participate?
Family members may be included when arranged with Skippack Pharmacy in advance. Walk-ins may be accommodated when vaccine supply, staffing, registration, and eligibility allow, but availability cannot be guaranteed. Everyone is strongly encouraged to register before the clinic.
How are vaccines billed?
Skippack Pharmacy bills each participant’s insurance whenever possible. Coverage depends on the vaccine, the participant’s age and eligibility, and the individual insurance plan. We review registration and insurance information before the clinic when possible and contact the participant if we identify a coverage issue or expected out-of-pocket cost. Employers may also arrange to sponsor vaccines that are not covered.
How are uninsured employees handled?
Certain vaccines may be available at no cost through public-health or vaccine-access programs, depending on the participant’s eligibility and current program funding. If no program is available, the participant may pay the disclosed self-pay price, or the employer may choose to sponsor the vaccine. Payment options will be discussed before vaccination.
Which vaccines can be offered?
Workplace clinics most commonly offer flu and COVID-19 vaccines. Depending on participant needs, current recommendations, clinical eligibility, insurance coverage, and product availability, we may also offer Tdap, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, RSV, shingles, pneumococcal, and other requested vaccines. Our team will confirm the final vaccine selection while planning the clinic.
How long will the clinic last?
Clinic length depends on expected participation, the vaccines being offered, the number of employee shifts, and the workplace setup. After reviewing your request, we will recommend an appropriate clinic time block and staffing plan. Larger clinics may use multiple immunizers or separate time blocks to keep the process efficient.
