CARE THAT COMES TO YOU

Homebound Vaccination Program

When getting to the pharmacy is difficult, Skippack Pharmacy can bring vaccination directly to your home.

Skippack Pharmacy provides in-home vaccinations for eligible individuals who have difficulty leaving home because of mobility limitations, medical conditions, disabilities, transportation barriers, or other circumstances that make accessing vaccination outside the home difficult.

Our team has been bringing vaccines to homebound members of our community since the COVID-19 pandemic—and that commitment continues today.

New fall homebound visits will occur in November (although we will try as soon as possible).  If you have already signed up, we will get to you before the end of October — a member of our team will call you prior to coming.

Service availability depends on location, vaccine eligibility, staffing and scheduling.

Is a Homebound Visit Right for You?

A home vaccination visit may be appropriate if you or someone you care for has difficulty getting to a pharmacy or vaccination clinic because of:

Mobility Challenges
Difficulty walking or needing a wheelchair, walker, cane, other equipment, or assistance from another person.

Medical Conditions
A health condition that makes leaving home difficult or medically challenging.

Disability or Accessibility Needs
Physical, developmental, or other accessibility barriers that make traditional vaccination settings difficult.

Transportation or Caregiving Barriers
Circumstances that significantly limit someone’s ability to access vaccination outside the home.

Not sure if you qualify?

Submit the request anyway. Our team will review the information and contact you to determine what options may be available.

Vaccines We Can Bring to You

Depending on age, vaccination history, insurance coverage, current recommendations and vaccine availability, home visits may include:

Flu
Seasonal influenza vaccination

COVID-19
Current COVID-19 vaccine options

RSV
For eligible older adults and adults at increased risk

Pneumococcal
Protection against pneumococcal disease for eligible adults

Shingles
Shingrix vaccination

Tdap
Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis protection

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis A & B / Twinrix

Need More Than One Vaccine?

In many cases, multiple appropriate vaccines can be given during the same home visit, helping reduce the need for additional appointments.

Not sure what you’re due for? That’s okay. Tell us what you’re interested in on the request form and our team can review the information before your visit.

Ask About Car-Side Vaccination

Car-side vaccination can often be scheduled sooner than a home visit because it can be coordinated with our regular vaccination team.
