UPDATE: BIVALENT COVID-19 VACCINE BOOSTER

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE NEW VACCINE?

  • Individuals 18 years of age and older are eligible for a single booster dose of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent if it has been at least two months since they have completed primary vaccination or have received the most recent booster dose with any authorized or approved monovalent COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Individuals 12 years of age and older are eligible for a single booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent if it has been at least two months since they have completed primary vaccination or have received the most recent booster dose with any authorized or approved monovalent COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Individuals between 5-11 years of age are eligible for a single booster dose of the Pediatric Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent if it has been at least two months since they have completed primary vaccination or have received the most recent booster dose with any authorized or approved monovalent COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Individuals between 6 months-5 years of age are eligible for a single booster dose of the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent if it has been at least two months since they have received 2 doses of Moderna or Pfizer vaccine previously.  If a child has received 3 doses of Pfizer, they are currently not eligible for a bivalent booster (4th dose)

To provide you with a better experience, we recommend you schedule an appointment prior to your visit UNLESS you have difficulty accessing the Internet or have difficulty scheduling an appointment in which case you will be required to fill out a paper form in person.  Walk-in appointments are NOT permitted on Saturdays.  Please note, while some Saturday appointments are available, there may be longer wait times on weekends due to a higher demand & we encourage those who can to come to the pharmacy or a clinic during the weekday during the day or evening.

The Novavax vaccine is approved for people aged 12 years+.

12+ Year Old

Patients ages 12 years and older: Should receive a 2-dose primary series separated by 3-8 weeks followed by a booster dose given 6 months after primary series.   If you had Pfizer, Moderna, or J&J Vaccine prior, you CANNOT switch over to receive Novavax for your booster.  More info can be found here: LINK

SCHEDULE YOUR PFIZER VACCINE AT SKIPPACK PHARMACY

The Pfizer vaccine is approved for people aged 6 months+.

6 Months – 2 Year Old

We can only provide to this age group in collaboration with a nurse –> We have a nurse administrator on specific days –> click for more details: LINK

3-4 Year Old

Children ages 6 months–4 years: Should receive a 2-dose primary series followed by a bivalent booster. The first and second doses are separated by 3–8 weeks and the second and bivalent dose are separated by at least 8 weeks. As of 3/16, a bivalent booster dose is now authorized for children who have received 3 doses of primary series Pfizer vaccine.

5-11 Year Old

Children ages 5–11 years: Should receive a 2-dose primary series separated by 3–8 weeks and 1 bivalent booster dose 2 months after your last dose.

12+ Year Old

Adults ages 12 years and older: Should receive a 2-dose primary series separated by 3–8 weeks. A bivalent booster dose is authorized for more than 2 months after you complete your primary series.

The Moderna vaccine is approved for people aged 6 months+. 

6 Months – 2 Year Old

3-5 Year Old

Children ages 3 years–5 years: Should receive a 2-dose primary series. The first and second doses are separated by 4 weeks followed by a bivalent booster at least 8 weeks apart.

6-11 Year Old

Children ages 6 years–11 years: Should receive a 2-dose primary series. The first and second doses are separated by 4 weeks followed by a bivalent booster at least 8 weeks apart.

12+ Year Old

Adults ages 12+ years: Should receive a 2-dose primary series separated by 4–8 weeks and a booster dose after 2 or more months.
