Who can request a church or faith community vaccine clinic?
Churches, temples, mosques, synagogues, faith-based organizations, cultural organizations, outreach ministries, health ministries, and community event coordinators can request a vaccine clinic for their members or community.
Do members need to sign up for a clinic?
Yes! We highly recommend that the organization has everyone who would like to receive a vaccine that day to sign up ahead of time! This will allow us to prepare prior to the vaccination clinic. If someone wants a vaccine and did not sign up, we are happy to vaccinate them as well!
Where should we set up the clinic?
We are able to do the mobile vaccination clinic in most areas. Reach out if you have any specific questions regarding a clinic set up! We request that you provide at least one table, a few chairs, and a trash can. We will bring the rest! We are able to set up outside or do a drive-up clinic, weather permitting.
What vaccinations do you offer?
Mobile clinics commonly include flu and COVID-19 vaccines. Depending on the population, eligibility and availability, we may also offer RSV, shingles, pneumonia, Tdap, hepatitis A, hepatitis B and other requested vaccines. Our team will help determine which vaccines are appropriate for your clinic.
Who administers the immunizations?
Each clinic is run by immunization-certified members of our team. The number of immunizers that come to the clinic depends on the number of people that signed up for the clinic.
How are the vaccinations billed?
We bill each participant’s insurance whenever possible. Coverage varies based on the vaccine, age, eligibility and insurance plan. We review registration information before the clinic and will notify the organization or participant if a vaccine is not covered. Organizations may also arrange to sponsor vaccines that are not covered.
Can uninsured or underinsured participants receive vaccines?
Yes. Certain vaccines may be available at no cost through public-health or vaccine-access programs, depending on eligibility and current funding. When no program is available, the participant or sponsoring organization may choose to pay the disclosed out-of-pocket price.
What paperwork is required?
For most clinics, we use a HIPAA-secure, online consent and sign-up form. This form is filled out prior to the clinic. This allows us to obtain each individual’s information. Then we can bill insurance and solve any issues ahead of time. We will provide paper consent forms and gather information from patients who were unable to sign up ahead of time.
How long does each clinic last?
Our mobile vaccination clinics are very organized! We come prepared to vaccinate everyone that signs up. The length of the clinic depends on the number of people getting vaccinated.
Is there a minimum number of people that need to sign up to receive a vaccination?
Mobile clinics generally require at least 10 participants. If your group is smaller, contact us—we may be able to combine nearby groups, invite family or community members, or discuss a small-clinic service fee.
Is there a cost to the host organization?
There is typically no cost to the church or faith community to host an on-site vaccine clinic. Vaccines are generally billed through insurance or available vaccine-access programs when applicable. Our team can review the clinic setup with you in advance.
How far in advance should we request a clinic?
The earlier the better. We recommend reaching out several weeks in advance when possible so there is enough time to confirm the date, create registration materials, promote the clinic, review insurance or eligibility information, prepare vaccine supply, and schedule the appropriate number of vaccinators.
